  • I think I read on your site that you use Royal Mosa tile? I like the look and cant seem to find colored tiles anywhere that arent beige(yech).
Where do you get your tile?

    Thanks,

    • Hi, Lisa:
I really apologize for the delay; sometimes I think I really know how to use WordPress for my website, and then they make some change and my emails or comments become hidden, like this one of yours did. So…Royal Mosa (& Fabresa) tiles are from Europe; they are not “hard fired” to go outdoors, but they work beautifully for anything for indoors, and are softer and thinner than US household ceramic tiles, so a joy to cut! You would not believe the difference in cutting & shaping these vs. regular tiles. I have some broken pieces in my shop just for the purpose of customers using the nippers on them to see how they cut. I get them from Conny at http://www.tilesandtools.eu. Click on “Ceramic Tiles” in left column, then “Ceramic Wall Tiles” and “limited edition-Mosa tiles” for limited-time colors. I have her sample boards in my shop in Denver that show the real color of each tile, and I can add anything you’d like onto an order. The retail price, with shipping & customs, is currently coming to $3.50 for a 6×6″ tile. I currently have several colors in stock, but, like I said, can always order another color if you need it. They are really beautiful tiles!
Check out Flair Robinson’s (in Telluride) work on Facebook or Flickr; she almost exclusively uses them for her work and her classes; amazing, amazing pieces. I went and trained with Flair on the tiles before I decided to work with and order them. I will be offering an all-Royal Mosa tiles class sometime in the future.
Let me know if you have any other questions! BTW; I don’t sell online, but I can arrange to meet you at my shop in Denver if you’re coming up some day; I’m just not sure what my new shop hours are going to be, since I’ve just been moving.
      Thanks!
      Krystie Rose :)
