Outdoor / Garden Mosaics Classes

Come join Krystie Rose and several other fun folks to craft your own outdoor/garden mosaic art piece! Choose from a stepping stone, flowerpot, address or garden plaque, garden stake, or consult with Krystie Rose on bringing your own base that you want to mosaic for the outdoors. Learn how to embellish your base piece with colorful bits of tile, glass, and other items to make it into a true mosaic. Students learn the basics of making mosaics for an outdoor environment; correct bases/substrates to use with which adhesives and which tiles/glass/tesserae. Students complete an original design on their base and then learn how to grout and seal their piece to best protect it from the outdoor elements.
Information on garden mosaic basics, great sources for materials and supplies, and next-level mosaics will be included in this fun, hands-on course. No previous mosaic experience or ‘artistic ability’ required, but it is always helpful if you’ve completed some beginning mosaic training or read up on beginners mosaic techniques. Come see how easy it is to tap into your creative spirit and learn this wonderful craft! Take a break from the daily grind and learn a new craft to beautify your surroundings!
